Access BloodSpeed for research use
BloodSpeed is currently available to collaborators as a research-use platform, enabling direct measurement of red blood cell oxygen-handling kinetics in laboratory and clinical research settings.
We are working with partners across blood banking, haematology, and critical care to generate real-world data and explore how functional measurements of red blood cells can inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
What we offer
We can provide research-use units of BloodSpeed at production cost to support:
- Translational and clinical research
- Blood banking and transfusion studies
- Evaluation of red blood cell function in disease
- Development and validation of blood-related technologies
Each unit is supplied with guidance on setup and operation, and we work closely with collaborators to ensure effective deployment and data interpretation.
Who this is for
We are particularly interested in working with:
- Clinical research groups
- Blood services and transfusion laboratories
- Academic laboratories in physiology and haematology
- Industrial partners developing blood technologies
If your work involves red blood cells, oxygen delivery, or related systems, BloodSpeed can provide a new functional dimension to your measurements.
Request a unit
To enquire about access to a BloodSpeed unit, please contact us by email with a brief description of your intended use.
We aim to respond promptly and will follow up to discuss suitability, availability, and next steps.
In addition to providing units, we are open to collaborative projects that advance the understanding and application of red blood cell function in health and disease.
